I got DF'D yesterday

she said they made the announcement at the hall yesterday that i got df'd.
they said that i am no longer a jehovah's witness.

i've been lurking and learning for a few months.
former elder who drifted away due to congregation hyprocrisy and politics.. went through many of the feelings of inadequacy and/or lack of confidence for a while but the longer i was away the stronger i became.. i'll tell more about myself later but right now i want to thank all of your for sharing your thoughts and comments.. it's truly amazing how bright the light can get when you really learn the truth and get out of the "organization".

Lola, you poor dear!! I just cannot believe it!! I am fuming for you!! Can't they take a hint?? I wonder if they were trying get you mad, to bait you into saying something they could hang you on later! A simular thing happened recently to my best friends husband! The ELder was there 3 HOURS!!! Thank goodness my friends husband owned the business. But when he first dropped in on him he told him it wasn't a good time! He could care less. Then the next week or so ANOTHER Elder dropped in unexpected! This time my friends husband wasn't there. He told the receptionist it was a "goodwill call"! Yeah right!!
Anyway, they love the element of suprise. It makes them feel like they have the upper hand! Hang in there Lola!

The Big Four-Oh Today...
by Confession inso i'm 40 today.
wow.... not only have i never celebrated my birthday, but my "date-of-birth" (april 20th) has always coincided with that of adolph hitler's and, more recently, the 1999 columbine student massacre.
furthermore my daughter has just informed me that today (4/20) is also inernational marijuana day, apparently to coincide with the term "four twenty," which stands for pot.. anyway, although age 40 has traditionally been one of the major mile-markers in peoples' lives, i feel great!

I bet you it would be far less than 6 million!!! There are SO.....many who "fake it", and remain in because of fear of having all their friends and family taken from them. Since very few actually have friends outside of the organization, it doesn't leave much left when you take everyone else away! Just like Sickoflies Mom said when she said it was like trying to get out of the Maffia. They want you DEAD! Spiritually dead, dead to them, and they think, dead to Jehovah! Just a thought.

Well Done! You escaped the "JW death row", for now that is! They will be watching your meeting attendance like a hawk! I think you did a GREAT job! It must have made you feel good to have your mother stick by you. I am curious, after all of this how does she feel?? And I think it was great you had Graysons book to present. It was hard to hear though if you really even got to share the discrepancy with them. You probably have no use for it now, however, for all those that are interested in knowing, Alan Feuerbacher did a AWESOME essay on the Appendix of the Kingdom Come book. If you go to "google" type in watchtower research. Go to Alan F. essays and scroll down to "Refutation of Appendix in Let Your Kingdom Come." It talks all about Berosus and how his writings WERE in harmony with Daniels. And he gives proof. A interesting point is that the Society uses Josephus's work to back up their different subjects. But he (Josephus) was a historian that wrote "after the fact" too, some 600 yrs. after Daniel and almost 400 years AFTER Berosus!!! Yet they discredit Berosus's writings, which were copied from preservred Neo-Babylonian sources. Yet they uphold Josephus's, which are a copy from a copy!! Berosus writings are in perfect harmony with the person who was actually there during the actual events, DANIEL!! They have NOT done their homework on Berosus!! It was obvious from the tapes, they were only going by what the Appendix says! Which is FULL of holes!!!! Anyhow, I just thought I would mention this information for any of you who were confused by what the Elders were telling Dan on that tape! I still cannot believe you wiggled your way out of disfellowshipping! Thank you for recording all of this. It certainly has helped me prepare for our up and coming meeting! This stuff is DEEP! You did a Great Job!! Thank you!!
